Business Development Committee
The FSA Business Development Committee comprises at least two members of the FSA Board of Directors, a representative of the University Senate, and other interested students, faculty, and professional staff of the University appointed by the FSA Executive Committee.
The Committee reviews and works with FSA professional staff in developing FSA’s marketing initiatives for individual businesses and services as well as the marketing of FSA as a major service provider and financial supporter of Stony Brook University.
The Committee reviews all areas of retail services provided by FSA, including University Bookstore, HSC Bookstore, Seawolves MarketPlace, shopSBU.com, SBUMC Gift Shop, vending services, and other retail operations that may, from time to time, be proposed and/or provided through FSA.
The Committee consults with the Provost’s Liaison on University Bookstore matters involving the provision of textbooks, including obtaining required textbook information from faculty and textbook delivery performance by the bookstores.
The Committee makes recommendations to the FSA Executive Director and Board of Directors on operational and budgetary proposals for the above defined areas.
